Akemi’s Studio is located at Suite 331, Eastworks, 116 Pleasant Street, in Easthampton, MA. I specialize in Nantucket baskets and Japanese Ikkanbari, a traditional Japanese basket craft.

I offer in-studio courses Nantucket Basket classes. Classes are typically limited to four students so I can provide attention and help to each individual student.

I also offer open studio time, in two-hour blocks, where you can bring a project you are working on to the studio and I provide guidance.

I am available for private lessons (or lessons for two), where I will provide a Nantucket Basket project and teach all the steps required.
